ABOUT COVID TALES

COVID Tales is an archive and collection of stories that tells the tales of people during the COVID-19 lockdown in India during the summer of 2020. 

​

Each tale is a journey of people from various professional backgrounds and the way they were able to cope up with the lockdown and its after effects.

​

For some the journey was productive and a needed break while for others it was a struggle to keep up with the new normal. 

​

COVID Tales brings to you these stories with the aim to remain a site that has documented and stored the tales during COVID-19 pandemic. This will help every generation after, to know about how the pandemic created calm and chaos at the same time.

MEET ANANYA MARIAM RAJESH

COVID Tales is a website started by Ananya Mariam Rajesh, a Post Graduate student in Mass Communication and Journalism at St. Joseph's College (Autonomous), Bengaluru.

​

Ananya looks into the lives of a variety of people who practise various professions and have a story to tell.

​

The tales of the pandemic are heart-warming and overwhelming. While some of them succeeded and were productive a lot of others found it taxing and mentally exhausting.

​

As a budding journalist and writer, she is here to tell the tales and narrate them to the masses to remember how a pandemic unlike any other brought about experiences like never before.

​

MEET THE DIGITAL ARTIST

Dhanush Varma is a Digital Artist and a graduate in Animation and Multimedia. As a kid, he was always found with an art book. Many labelled him to be obsessed with Art. Well, this is one of the reasons for him to start his own art label named Art and Obsession (A&O).

​

As an artist Dhanush expresses himself much more through art. All his artworks were kept away in his own world until a discovery by one of his close friends who complimented and motivated him help Dhanush embrace and make art his profession.  

​

COVID TALES is thankful for the gracious help that Dhanush rendered by making original digital arts of the sources. The time and effort is appreciated and COVID TALES look forward to more collaborative work with him.
